We know that remarkable accomplishments can be achieved when you envision a powerful future. Setting a clear, compelling vision for what you want to achieve gives you direction and motivation. As I often say, to meet our fullest potential, we must also recognize how we can be of value to the world around us. Once you have a vision, the next step is to follow the path where you are needed the most. This involves assessing your strengths, passions, and where you can make the biggest impact. However, the journey to your vision won’t always be straightforward. Flexibility is crucial. Being open to adjusting your path allows you to navigate unexpected challenges and take advantage of new opportunities that may arise.
My guest in this episode, is a wonderful and impressive example of hard work, flexibility, commitment has served humanity in multiple ways.
I interview Dr. Brian Frank, whose diverse career spans law enforcement, education, and cybersecurity. Dr. Frank shares insights from his experiences as an NYPD officer, Intelligence analyst in Iraq, educator, school administrator, and cybersecurity consultant. Dr. Frank’s Bio:
Bryan Frank is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of History at Stony Brook University. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from CW Post In 1993. Bryan holds a M.S. in Social Studies 7-12, a M.S. in Liberal Studies, and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership through Stony Brook University. He earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Saint John’s University. Bryan holds permanent certifications in social studies and school administration at the building and district level, and a graduate certificate in Cyber Policy from the University of Maryland.
Bryan taught social studies in the Port Washington school district from 1999-2014. During his time at Port Washington, he became the Chairperson of the Schreiber High School Social Studies Department. Also, Bryan has held the position of District Director of Social Studies in the Connetquot and Smithtown School Districts. Bryan has also been an elementary school principal and currently holds the position of Executive Director of Instructional Technology for the Carle Place School District.
Dr. Frank has 23 years in the educational field with 14 years as a school administrator. Dr. Frank’s last position was as the Executive Director of Instructional Technology for a Nassau County school district and was a principal of an elementary school. Before that, he held several positions as a district director and chair of a department. Throughout his tenure in education, he has been involved with school district security plans and tabletop exercises. Dr. Frank has worked as a consultant on cybersecurity matters, including cybersecurity training, investigations, and cyber policies for small and midsize businesses. Dr. Frank also did a tour in Iraq as an intelligence analyst and a maintainer of classified networks and communication systems. He has presented on cybersecurity issues to many organizations in the financial industry as well as law firms. Before entering the education field, Dr. Frank
