Ever wonder what it would be like
to only worry about yourself?
Between our personal and professional relationships, we often tend to put more energy into supporting the people around us than we put into helping ourselves. While we can find joy in this kind of selfless behavior at times, it’s also exhausting leaving many of us craving self-care time to either relax, learn something new, or do whatever WE want to do for once.
The ProTilly team understood this struggle all too well and decided to do a little research for our audience to see what it would be like to immerse oneself in an environment dedicated to personal development and growth. As avid yoga practitioners, ProTilly’s founder & CEO, Marie Chindamo, took off with our head of marketing & business development, Juliette Ocon, to Bali, Indonesia for The Sacred Fig’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. For 26 days, they put all responsibilities on hold and entered an environment controlling almost all external circumstances – the information shared, what they ate, who they interacted with, how they spent their days, and sometimes even when they were permitted to speak. The only thing they had to worry about is how they received, processed, internalized and responded.
Watch the video below to find out more as Marie and Juliette talk about some of the lessons they gained during this intensive learning experience, including:
-
Owning YOUR life
-
Leading by example instead of advising others
-
Worrying less about the roles we play in life
-
Being more YOU
