Have a few questions? Not sure if coaching is right for you or your company?
No problem! Here are some questions that we’ve received from people just like you.
Many successful executives and top athletes use coaches to help them live their dreams and be the best they can be.
Coaching could help you to look at your life from a different viewpoint as well as help you develop a plan to maximize your potential and desired level of professional fulfillment. It is essential to understand the connection between your thoughts and feelings, and your actions. Many people live a life of what I call “tranquilized consciousness.” They accept things as they are because it feels “normal,” even though it may not feel “good” or fulfilling.” For example, so many people trudge to and from work, sit in a cubicle or office and churn out unfulfilling work for 8 – 10 hours each day, and think that is the way it is supposed to be because the majority of the people they know do the same thing. What they are missing is the fact that it doesn’t have to be that way. You can work smarter and increase your value (think: income). You can work less and make the same or more. You can have a career that you would work for free because you are so passionate about the work you do – yet still, get paid for it. The possibilities are endless. However, if you keep a tranquilized consciousness, you will continue to accept your current state. A good coach will awaken you to endless possibilities.
Are you experiencing a challenge that you just cannot conquer with a sustainable solution?
Do you find yourself experiencing the same recurring feelings of defeat, lack of confidence, or other types of self-limiting behavior?
Do you desire to create more balance in your life and struggle with how to make it happen?
Do you seek more fulfillment in your career or personal life and powerless to make the shift you need to make it happen?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then a coach can bring you tremendous value.
Absolutely. As with any professional service, the only time a breach of confidentiality would occur is if a client expresses the desire to harm themselves or others.
There is typically an initial intake discussion so I can learn about your goals, values, and obstacles that you are experiencing. There will be work on your part. I will guide you to take a closer look at what may be holding you back as well as how to gain accountability to your personal goals. Our work together will identify forwarding action, behavioral shifts as well as a shift in your self-perception.
Leadership, personal and professional growth. Although the majority of my clients initially seek coaching around their professional fulfillment, it is inevitable that we also work on personal fulfillment. All professionals must care for their individual needs and expectations, or their professional life could be adversely impacted. Conversely, when you are not fulfilled in your professional life, your personal life is most often feeling the effects as well. These areas are intricately connected.
Clients who put in the work will feel more confidence around how they are directing their personal resources (i.e. time, energy, etc.) as well as discover the tools to facilitate action and decision-making that aligns with their values. Ultimately, clients experience more balance in their life, control over their circumstances, a more profound sense of fulfillment, and an abundance of positive energy.
Coaching can have a direct impact on your value as a leader. Leadership Intelligence consists of emotional intelligence and several other key principles, and studies have found that just an increase in your emotional intelligence can grow your earning potential. According to a survey done by Talent Smart, people with high levels of emotional intelligence earn on average of $29,000 per year more than those with low emotional intelligence. So imagine the possible impact on your earning potential if you work with a coach to increase not only your emotional intelligence but your leadership intelligence as well?
Rates vary with the volume and frequency of coaching you are seeking. As your commitment to coaching time increases, the cost will become discounted. Additionally, coaching via web meetings or phone calls can be a bit more economical than in-person coaching. Most clients like a combination of in-person sessions and phone/web. An average three-month engagement can be as little as $500 per month.
Yes! Many employers recognize the value to their organization when they provide coaching resources to their high-potential employees. Check with your manager and your human resources department to learn how your organization can support you with your coaching program. Additionally, we can set up a complimentary call with someone from your organization to facilitate that discussion.
